Submission Guidelines
The International Journal of Habilitation and Rehabilitation (IJHAR) invites researchers, academicians, rehabilitation professionals, healthcare practitioners, educators, scholars, and experts to submit original research papers, review articles, case studies, conceptual papers, and scholarly contributions related to habilitation, rehabilitation, disability studies, inclusive education, special education, psychology, and allied health sciences.
Authors are requested to read the following guidelines carefully before preparing and submitting their manuscripts. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal guidelines may be returned for revision before review.
- Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be prepared in MS Word format using the following specifications:
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12-point
- Line Spacing: Double-spaced
- Paper Size: A4
- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
- Text Alignment: Justified
- Recommended Length: 16–20 pages
- Do not include page numbers, headers, footers, or footnotes unless necessary.
The manuscript should be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English.
- Structure of the Manuscript
The manuscript should contain the following sections in sequence:
- Title Page
- Author(s) Information and Affiliations
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Objectives / Research Questions
- Methodology
- Results and Findings
- Discussion
- Conclusion and Recommendations
- References
- Tables, Figures, and Appendices (if applicable)
- Title and Author Information
- The title of the manuscript should be concise, informative, and written in 14-point bold uppercase font.
- The first letter of major words should be capitalized.
- Author names, institutional affiliations, country, and email addresses must be clearly provided.
- The corresponding author should be identified using an asterisk (*).
- Author details should preferably be submitted on a separate title page to support the double-blind peer-review process.
- Abstract and Keywords
- The abstract should not exceed 200-250 words.
- It should briefly summarize the background, objectives, methodology, major findings, and conclusion of the study.
- Authors must provide 3–5 keywords related to the manuscript for indexing and search purposes.
- Main Text and Headings
- The main text should be typed in Times New Roman, 12-point font, with double spacing and justified alignment.
- Avoid unnecessary blank lines between paragraphs.
- Headings and subheadings should be clearly formatted and limited to three levels.
Heading Format
- First-order headings: Centered, Bold, title case
- Second-order headings: Flush Left, Bold, title case
- Third-order headings: Flush Left, Bold Itali, title case
- Tables, Figures, and Equations
Tables and Figures
- Tables and figures should be numbered sequentially and placed as close as possible to their first citation in the text.
- Table titles should appear above the table.
- Figure captions should appear below the figure.
- All tables and figures must be clearly labeled and referenced in the manuscript (e.g., Table 1, Fig. 1).
- Only high-quality and clearly readable figures should be submitted.
Equations
- Equations should be prepared using appropriate equation-editing tools such as MS Equation Editor or MathType.
- Equations must be centered and numbered consecutively where applicable.
Units
- Authors are encouraged to use standard SI Units wherever applicable.
- References and Citation Style
Authors must follow the latest edition of the American Psychological Association (APA) Style for both in-text citations and references.
- References should be arranged alphabetically at the end of the manuscript.
- Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all citations and references.
Manuscripts not following APA style may be returned for correction before review.
- Ethical Requirements
Authors must ensure that:
- The manuscript is original and unpublished.
- The work is not under consideration by any other journal simultaneously.
- All sources and references are properly acknowledged.
- Ethical approval and informed consent have been obtained wherever applicable.
- The manuscript complies with the publication ethics and plagiarism policy of IJHAR.
A Certificate of Originality signed by the author(s) may be required at the time of submission.
- Cover Letter
Each submission should be accompanied by a cover letter that includes:
- Title of the manuscript
- Type of article submitted
- Significance and contribution of the study
- Confirmation that the manuscript is original and not under review elsewhere
- Copyright and Licensing
By submitting a manuscript to IJHAR, authors confirm that the work is their original intellectual contribution. Upon acceptance, authors may be required to provide copyright consent for publication and online dissemination of the article.
- Submission Process
Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal website in MS Word format only.
Authors are advised to carefully check formatting, references, language, plagiarism, and completeness before submission. Manuscripts that do not adhere to the journal guidelines may be returned to authors for revision before peer review.
